Leveraging American Rescue Plan Dollars, in collaboration with the City of Tucson, Tucson Association of Realtors Charitable Foundation and other partners, we were able to provide grants up to a $5,000 to assist with closing costs for essential workers

Mortgage Credit Certificate
The Mortgage Credit Certificate program is a tax credit program that reduces your federal taxes in order to help keep your home affordable in the long run. In all, this program can save you up to $50,000 over the life of your home loan.

I may not have been able to afford much in this area without Tucson IDA’s programs. It’s helpful to have that little help … it’s a bridge to go from renting forever to buying a house. The whole idea of home ownership gives you a sense of roots. Owning a home creates expectations for the future, and is important to the identity of a family. It provides a place where everyone can congregate.
