Groundswell Capital and OneAZ Credit Union had the honor of being co-title sponsors of the unforgettable event.
Founder and CEO of I Am You 360, Desiree Cook, with the residents of the Tiny Home community for homeless youth, ages 18-22. I Am You 360's Prom Fundraiser proved to be an absolute success with raising over $110,000 for their Tiny Home community housing project for homeless youth. Founder and CEO of I Am You 360 Desiree Cook launched the green building model for this unique housing program for displaced youth aging out of the foster care system or otherwise experiencing homelessness. "I Am You 360 is committed to sewing our underserved youth back into the fabric of our community through safe, affordable, green housing. The development of this unique program has successfully provided life skills and a path to homeownership to break generational cycle," Cook explained. Along with resources for life skills, the residents of the Tiny Home community will be investing in future homes for themselves as half the funds they pay for their rent will be put into escrow. "Groundswell Capital is delighted to support I Am You 360 as the co-title sponsor for this powerful event. What Desiree has built aligns perfectly with our goals to invest in our community's equitable, innovative, and sustainable future. This project represents all three! We encourage every community organization that is serious about affordable housing and building a brighter future for our youth to consider joining us in supporting this invaluable resource in our city!" said Dre Thompson, CEO of Tucson IDA and Groundswell Capital. OneAZ Credit Union Regional President and I Am You 360 Board Member Lisa Hagins commented, "I Am You 360 speaks to the Core of OneAZ's mission of serving the community. Serving others is extremely important and the way Tucson wraps its arms around those that may need support, that speaks to my heart." Thank you to JKaiser Workspaces for such a beautiful evening.
